The Derry Feis Committee wishes to invite teachers, parents and dancers of all ages to take part in the 104th Open Platform Feis Dhoire Cholmcille.

Feis Rules:

1. Feis is approved by An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha and An Chomhdháil.
2. Entries should only be placed for dancers of schools registered with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha and Comhdháil na Múinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha.
3. Age taken from 1st January in any year.
4. No refunds except in the case that the event does not run.
5. The adjudicators decision is final.
6. Dancers should adhere to make-up and costume rules as stipulated by the organisation they compete in. In the absence of these dancers having a solo/class costume they should adhere to the following dress code: a long/short sleeve blouse/t-shirt and skirts/trousers, polo tops and skirts/trousers, bodysuits and skirts or tunics that conform to the normal costume length.
7. No changing of costumes permitted in the hall. Changing facilities will be provided at the Feis venue.
8. Dancers should be properly attired at all times.
9. The front row will be marked and reserved for TCRGs.
10. Litter should be placed in bins provided at the Feis venue.
11. The Feis Committee reserve the right to refuse entries or admissions.
12. The Feis committee will not accept any responsibility for personal injury or articles lost at the Feis.
13. The Feis committee reserves the right to transfer competitions/results to another stage, use a relief adjudicator or to alternate, combine or split competitions to ensure the smooth running of the Feis.
14. ALL An Chomhdhail dancers MUST complete GDPR form prior to competing as per the organisations rules. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure this form has been completed and returned. Parents of competitors should inform side stage prior to presentation of awards if they do not wish for the dancer's name to be called out or included in presentation images to be shared on Derry Feis' social media platforms.

16. Entries will be open until midnight on 2nd March for teachers and parents on our website derryfeis.com. From 3rd March, teachers and parents can email entries to registration@derryfeis.com with correct entry fees payable on the day. Please note, there will be a £5.00 charge per dancer applied to entries made on 9th-10th April.
17. No photography/ videography is permitted of dancing competitions. 
18. All teachers who have pupils entered and paid will receive a Teachers Pass from the Feis Office.
19. Final Timetable will be released after entries close. Please note that the syllabus list below is NOT the running order.
20. All dancers in Under 5 Tiny Tots will receive a special prize. Dancers that have not pre-entered are not guaranteed the same prize as competitors who have entered before 2nd March and will only receive the same prize subject to availability.
21. For the purposes of grades competitions, the grades names have been correlated as follows: Bun Grad = Beginner A; Tus Grad = Beginner B; Mean Grad = Pre-Open. Eligibility for Light Cup: Dancers may only compete in one light dance cup competition per grade and have danced in the chosen light dance in the same grade as a solo to be able to perform this as a cup dance.
22. Competitors may enter one grade per dance except when a dancer wishes to take part in a Premiership or Open Championship, in which case they may double up.
23. Grades winners registered with CLRG will not grade up as per organisation rules.
24. Grades winners registered with will only grade up in the event that there are ten or more competitors from their organisation in the competition. The award system will not be applied by CLRG ADCRGs as per organisation rules.
25.  All Premierships listed (including U6, U7, U8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and O14) will be adjudicated by one ADCRG and a separate solo results provided by another. Please note that only dancers who have not won a championship over three judges are eligible to enter u9-10 - O14 Premierships which will be tabulated based on one heavy and one light round. Awards: Sashes Top 5. 
26. A dancer may enter a double age group Premiership AND an Open Championship if they wish to.
27. All Open Championships will be adjudicated by a panel of three over three rounds. Awards: Sashes 1 – 5 and separate solo results. ALL podium placers in the Open Championships gain free entry into The Father Kevin Mullan Champion of Champions Competition to close the Feis on Friday 10th April which comes with The Christine McIvor Bursary of £500.00
28. Competitors may dance up an age group for U6 Premiership, traditional set dance or team competitions.
29. Champion of Champions is open to any Top 5 placing dancers in the Open Championships from U9-O18. Competitors perform a Treble Reel step about on the light and left leg. Awards: 1st Place, The Father Kevin Mullan Award and The Christine McIvor Bursary of £500.00. 
30. Veterans Charity Champion is an adults competition that will take place to close the Feis on Thursday 9th April. This is not a competition for dancers with CLRG or an Chomhdhail but is geared towards total novices, former dancers, feis mammies/daddies, etc or those who have not competed in the past five years. Competitors are encouraged to perform any dance, solo or team, and to fundraise independently for a charitable cause by way of a “sponsored dance”. The winner will receive a donation of £100 to the charitable cause of their choosing. Sponsorship Forms will be emailed after entry is received.
31. O16 Dancers should note that they must apply in the Feis Office at the venue for the Senior Bursary Award of £500.00 in order to be considered.
