Our Aims
The aims of Feis Dhoire Cholmcille (Derry Feis) is to promote and enhance the culture, arts and in particular the respective disciplines of:
- Classical Musical
- Heritage of Ireland
- History
- Irish
- Irish Dancing
- Song
- Speech and Drama
- Traditional Music
and shall encourage participation in the annual Feis by competitors, audiences, and groups irrespective of their gender, disability, cultural, religious, political, or social background.
The Derry Feis will achieved this by:
1. Setting and maintaining standards through the appointment of accredited Adjudicators for each of the above disciplines
2. In partnership with other recognised organisations in the same disciplines to ensure that standards are maintain
3. Supporting the cultural and history by awarding bursaries to winners in order to develop their skills and talents
