Our Aims
The aims of Derry Feis (Feis Dhoire Cholmcille) is to promote and enhance the culture, arts and in particular the respective disciplines of the
- Irish
- Classical Musical
- Traditional Music
- Song
- Speech and Drama
- History
- Irish Dancing
- Heritage of Ireland
and shall encourage participation in the annual Feis by competitors, audiences, and groups irrespective of their gender, disability, cultural, religious, political, or social background.
The Derry Feis (Feis Dhoire Cholmcille) will achieved this by:
- Setting and maintaining standards through the appointment of accredited Adjudicators for each of the above disciplines
- In partnership with other recognised organisations in the same disciplines to ensure that standards are maintain
- Supporting the cultural and history by awarding bursaries to winners in order to develop their skills and talents
